Attempted Break & Enter at the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club

On November 12th, 2018 at 23:08 hours a member of the public called the Oak Bay Police to report a possible break & enter in progress at the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club located at 2190 Harlow Dr., in Oak Bay, BC.

The alert citizen could see a person inside the club house looking around using a flashlight. Police immediately attended and found a male and female (matching the description) departing the area on foot.

“The female was arrested and found to be in possession of break & enter tools, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. The male fled the area with some cash and an iPad. He remains outstanding, however, he’s well known to us so we’ll be seeking a warrant for his arrest”; advises Deputy Chief Ray Bernoties.

The Oak Bay Police are in the process of requesting charge approval for a number of charges, including break and enter, theft, and possession of break in instruments. The investigation is ongoing.

Deputy Chief Ray Bernoties adds that “we’re very grateful to the citizen who called us.”
