On November 14th, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report of a residential Break & Enter to a residence under construction in the 200 block of King George Terrace. On November 7th, police stopped a vehicle for a burnt out headlight in central Oak Bay. The driver exhibited signs of liquor consumption. The Driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and their vehicle was impounded. On November 8th, police were called to the Monterey Centre for a report of an Arson. Police had only two Hallowe’en related calls, one for a report of fireworks and the other for unknown people throwing things at traffic. Neither resulted in charges.
On October 26th, the Oak Bay Police attended the camp and warned campers that they would have to be gone by 11am on October 31st to allow the Parks Department to prepare the Cenotaph area as they do every year at this time.

Last week, the Oak Bay Police advised of numerous bike thefts from Oak Bay High School. We’re pleased to advise that today, we have one 45 yr old male in custody with multiple charges pending.
A small protest camp has been set up at the rear of the Municipal Hall.
