Weekly Media Release for Jan. 28 – Feb. 3, 2019

On January 28th, police were called to Willows Park where it was discovered that person(s) unknown had sprayed the
inside and outside of the public washrooms with graffiti.

On January 30th, police responded to two complaints of Theft from Motor Vehicle, one on McNeill Ave and the other on Crescent Road. Two battery packs, a Bluetooth speaker and a set of headphones in a purple backpack were stolen from the vehicle on Crescent Road.

On January 31st, police were called to Central Avenue for a report of Theft from Motor Vehicle. Sometime overnight, person(s) unknown entered the unlocked vehicle and took the garage door opener.

Also on January 31st, change was taken from the interior of an unlocked vehicle parked in the 600 block of Monterey Ave.

On January 31st, police received a report of a theft from Vehicle that occurred in the 700 block of Oliver Street. Several CDs were taken by the culprit(s).

On February 1st, police were called to a parking lot in the 1100 block of Beach Drive for a vehicle that was hung up on a curb. Police attended and found a lone female in the passenger seat of a vehicle that appeared to have backed over the curb and got stuck. The female was under the influence of alcohol and was not cooperative with police. The vehicle was towed, a level one Notice and Order was issued requiring inspection of the vehicle, and the female was later issued a Violation Ticket as the registered owner for Reverse When Unsafe.

On February 2nd, police were called to the 700 Block of St Patrick Street for a report of Theft from Vehicle that occurred sometime overnight. A small quantity of change was taken.

On February 2nd, police received a report of Theft from Vehicle that occurred sometime overnight in the 2200 block of Harlow Drive. A wallet was taken from the unlocked vehicle.

Police would like to remind potential tenants to get a receipt for any damage deposit at the time you turn it over. This protects you as well as the landlord.
