On July 23rd, police were called to a business in the 2100 Block of Oak Bay Avenue for a Fraud Over $5000 involving one of the employees. Police attended and arrested the male before releasing him on a Promise to Appear. The male will appear in court in September.
On July 23rd, police pulled over a vehicle for a burnt out headlight on Fort Street coming into Oak Bay. A records check of the driver showed he was wanted by Victoria Police for Assault. Victoria members attended and took custody of the male.
On July 25th, police were conducting an ICBC Roadblock on Beach Drive. Within two hours, police had issued a 3-Day IRP (Immediate Roadside Prohibition), a 215 Suspension (24-hours) and a 90-Day IRP. All three vehicles were impounded. In addition, one other motorist was issued a Prohibition Notice.
On July 27th, Police were contacted by BC Transit regarding a passenger who embarked at the hospital and disembarked on Oak Bay Ave near Oliver Street, appearing somewhat confused. Police attended and found the male unconscious on the grass. The ambulance attended and transported the male to hospital.
On July 27th, police attended a residence on Florence Street for a residential Break and Enter. Some time over the last week, person(s) unknown gained entry to the residence and took a number of household items, including a Dyson Vacuum cleaner and Dyson 10 inch fan. The matter is still under investigation.
Both the Jaguar show and shine at Windsor Park and the Oak Bay Car Show on Oak Bay Ave went smoothly and were well attended.
