Weekly Media Release Sept 10-16 2018

On September 10th, 2018, at 5 pm, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report of theft of merchandise from the 2100 block of Oak Bay Ave, Oak Bay. An adult male was identified, arrested and charged with three counts of Theft under $5,000 after investigation revealed that he was responsible for three thefts in total from the same establishment. He was also placed under conditions to not attend the establishment again.

On September 11th, 2018, an electric scooter was reported stolen from the Oak Bay Marina property. It had been alarmed and triple locked to a post. It is believed that it would have to have been lifted off the post by at least three people. The scooter was described as a purple KGEEZ Duke 500 with metallic orange trim and forks. There was a chip on the edge of the body near the left side foot well.

On September 15th, 2018, at 10 am, a complainant came in to the Oak Bay Police Department to report her turquoise walking sticks lost. She was at the Monterey Recreation Center on the 14th, at 4:15 pm, when she placed them beside the bench while waiting for a ride. She then left and forgot them. Please keep your eyes open for them, as they are greatly missed!
