Over the past week the Oak Bay Police responded to four theft from vehicle incidents. On January 15th 2019, Oak Bay Police received a complaint that a rudder handle along with its hinges was stolen from a sail boat at the Oak Bay Marina. On January 1st, while conducting mobile patrols the police noticed a commercial bus parked in the 200 block of King George Terrace. On December 19th, the Oak Bay Police responded to a theft of a computer at UVIC. A student went to the bathroom and upon returning he noticed a male was going through his backpack. The culprit stole insurance papers from one vehicle and children’s movies from the other vehicle. On December 5th, police attended the intersection of Henderson Road and Cedar Hill X-Road for a two vehicle collision. The offending vehicle was northbound on Henderson Road turning left onto westbound Cedar Hill X-Road.
