Job Posting: Deputy Chief Constable

The Oak Bay Police Board is seeking a highly motivated law enforcement professional to fill the role of Deputy Chief Constable due to an upcoming retirement.

The Deputy Chief Constable will be highly credible and will promote and maintain a visible and respected profile for the Oak Bay Police Department. In addition to being responsible for the operational and administrative areas, the Deputy Chief Constable works closely with the Chief Constable to provide leadership and vision to dedicated staff that provide essential policing services to the community. The ideal candidate will have a successful senior policing career focused on positively leading teams in a law enforcement environment. In addition, they will possess considerable experience in community engagement and building relationships both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to make decisions and take personal responsibility for actions that are consistent with high ethical policing standards.
