Media Release July 9-15, 2018

Sadly, our search for Ms Barman continues and we have no update. We’re following up on any tips we receive but asking people up island to also be aware. Gladys Barman, is 82 yrs old and was last seen at the Petro Can on West Saanich Rd, July 5th at 10am, driving a Forrest Green 2002 Honda Accord. BC Licence 940 RGA. Wearing glasses, teal windbreaker, jeans & white sneakers.

On July 6th, the Oak Bay Police recovered a large wooden statue.  If you can help in identifying its owner, please contact the Oak Bay Police.

On July 9th a bicycle described as a grey female Super-Cycle mountain bike, with attached lock, was stolen sometime within the last week from the 1100 block of Hampshire Road, in Oak Bay.

On July 14th, a vehicle was observed pulling a Zodiac boat towards the Oak Bay Marina with young children sitting in the towed boat.  The Oak Bay Police would like to remind drivers that not only is this action unsafe, but it could also prove costly if intercepted by the police.

Around midnight on July 15th, the Oak Bay Police dealt with a very lost 17 year old international student who was trying to get back to his home-stay residence located in Vancouver.  The youth was looked after and ultimately re-united with his very grateful home-stay parents.
