On April 22nd at 9:35 AM, police were called to the area of Henderson Road and Cedar Hill X-Road for a male walking with a sword. Oak Bay Police attended and confronted the male. The male initially refused to put the weapon down, but later complied and was taken into custody. Charges are being recommended.
On April 22nd, at 9:15 PM, police were called to the area of Cadboro Bay Road and Foul Bay Road for a male with a weapon. A male approached a group of teens and was holding a home-made weapon made out of a pipe fashioned into a knife. All but one of the teens ran off. The remaining teen told the male to leave them alone and the male ran off. He is described as Caucasian, 6’ tall, thin, tanned, wearing a long flowing white shirt and black and white swirled “hippy” pants as well as a multi-coloured bandana holding his brown curly shoulder length hair back.
