On Tuesday March 9th, Oak Bay Police received a report of a suspicious person in the 300 block of Foul Bay Rd. The complainant reported a male went on to her property and was looking inside the window of a vehicle. The complainant approached the male and he advised he was just looking as he had a similar vehicle. The male was asked to leave the property and he departed with two other males on foot. No suspects identified (OB File 2021-644).
On Thursday March 11th, the Oak Bay Police received a report of a suspicious male in the 300 block of Foul Bay Rd. The complainant reported a male came on to her property and attempted to open her patio doors. The male departed on foot. No suspect identified (OB 2021-661).
On Thursday March 11th, the Oak Bay Police received a report of a theft in the 2500 block of Musgrave St. The complainant advised that sometime during the past week someone stole 5 large stepping-stones from his front walkway. Value $200.00. No suspects identified (OB 2021-665).
On Thursday March 11th the Oak Bay Police received a report of a fraud. The complainant went to pick up a package from Canada Post although she had not ordered anything and was not expecting any packages. When she arrived a Canada Post employee advised her it had already been picked up by an unknown male prior to her arrival. The complainant then noticed an unknown transaction on her credit card for just over $4000.00. Still under investigation (OB 2021-669).
On Friday March 12th, the Oak Bay Police received a report of a mischief that occurred in the 700 block of Byng Street. The complainant advised that the lug nuts on his vehicle were intentionally loosened. The complainant has a possible suspect in mind. Still under investigation (OB 2021-678).
The Oak Bay Police want to warn you about scams related to the COVID-19 Vaccine. If you receive a call from someone asking you to provide personal
information to set up a home visit for your vaccination, hang up and do not provide any information. Currently NO Health Authority is calling to set up appointments.
