The Oak Bay Police are pleased to report 0 theft from automobile reports this week.
On November 11th an Oak Bay police member stopped a vehicle at Fort St. and Foul Bay Rd. The 20-year-old male “N” driver was in breach of his driving licence conditions and was impaired. The driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition, a 30-day vehicle impound and 2 tickets for violating his driving licence conditions. (OB 20-3567).
On November 11th the Oak Bay police attended a 2-vehicle motor vehicle incident at the intersection of Cadboro Bay Rd and Florence St. A vehicle driving eastbound on Cadboro Bay Rd drove through a red light and hit another vehicle causing significant damage. The 56-year-old male was issued a ticket for a red-light violation. (OB 20-3571).
On November 13th the Oak Bay police arrested a 33-year-old male in the 3400 blk of Henderson Rd for an Outstanding Warrant for theft under $5000. (OB 20-3592).
On November 13th the Oak Bay police responded to a theft in progress in the 2200 blk of Oak Bay Ave. A 23-year-old male and a 17-year-old female were located and arrested. The male was breaching his conditions and was concealing a can of bear spray. The male was released on an Appearance Notice for Breach and Possession of a Weapon For A Dangerous Purpose. The female was released with no charges (OB 20-3596).
On November 13th the Oak Bay police attended the 2000 blk of Oak Bay Ave for a theft of bike report. The complainant advised that his bicycle was stolen from inside his suite. No other information was available on the bike other than it was a full suspension bicycle (OB 20-3602).
On November 13th Oak Bay police members were responding to a theft of bicycle complaint (OB 20-3602) when they walked into a plume of pepper spray inside the building. The 51-year-old man who reported his bicycle stolen was arrested and released on an Undertaking for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. (OB 20-3603)
