On Saturday, December 1st, starting at Ship’s Point in Victoria at 5:45pm. Approximately 80 large 18 wheel decorated semi trailer trucks will be parading down Oak Bay Avenue and other parts of the Capital Region. The goal of the parade is to gather food items for the local food banks during the Christmas season.
The Route
The intended route will be from Ship’s Point on Warf St in Victoria along the waterfront by way of Dallas Rd to Fairfield Rd at Beach Drive. The parade will follow Beach Drive to Windsor Rd, turning left onto Windsor Rd and then right onto Newport Ave. Newport Ave to Oak Bay Ave, arriving at Monterey Ave at about 6:45pm, and straight out to Foul Bay Rd. Parking on Oak Bay Ave will be prohibited during the parade time period with traffic controlled by police and volunteers.
