December 2nd: Oak Bay Police received a report of a stolen scooter from the 1400 blk of Newport Ave. Scooter is a brown 2013 Honda Giorno with BC licence U44075. If you have any information or see the scooter, please call the police and do not approach. OB File 2019-4589.
December 3rd: Oak Bay Police received a hit and run report. The complainant reported her vehicle was struck while parked in the 2700 blk of Somass Dr. If you have any information, please contact the OBPD. OB file 2019-4616.
December 6th: Oak Bay Police received a theft report. The complainant reported her double Chariot stroller was stolen from her carport in the 2000 blk of Quimper Ave. Stroller is blue with back and the seats are one behind the other. If you have any information, please contact the OBPD. OB file 2019-4649.
December 6th: Oak Bay Police received a theft report. The complainant reported 2 brass boat propellers were stolen from the side of his house in the 2000 blk of Goldsmith. If you have any information, please contact the OBPD. OB file 2019-4652.
December 6th: Oak Bay Police issued two 3-day driving suspension, a 90-day driving suspension with a 90 day vehicle impound as well as charging one of the drivers with Driving while Prohibited.
December 7th: Oak Bay Police received a report of a stolen wallet. The complainant forgot her bag inside the Monterey Recreation Center library and when she returned to get it her wallet had been removed.
December 7th. Oak Bay Police received a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant parked his vehicle at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and when he went to retrieve it the next day, it was gone. Vehicle is a grey 2006 Toyota Sienna van with BC licence plates 876WWR. If you have any information or see this vehicle, please contact the police and do not approach. OB File 2019-4674.
December 7th. Oak Bay Police responded to a robbery in the 2400 blk of Eastdowne Rd. The suspect left the store and pulled out a knife when the store owner approached him. The suspect got away on a bicycle and is described as a tall, thin, male with dark complexion in his 20’s. File is under investigation.
December 7th. Oak Bay Police issued a 3-day driving suspension at Beach Dr/Windsor Rd.
December 7th. Oak Bay Police seized Cannabis from a vehicle. Oak Bay police want to remind you that although Cannabis is legal you can not have the drug in your vehicle if it is readily available to the driver, or the passenger, unless it is in the original packaging and the package has never been opened. Sec 81(1)(b) of the Cannabis Control and Licensing Act.
December 7th. Oak Bay Police received a theft from vehicle report. A wallet was removed from a vehicle parked in the 2300 blk of Middowne Rd. Vehicle was believed to have been left unlocked.
