The Oak Bay Police Department responded to 77 calls for service this week.
Warrant
On August 5, 2024, at 1:49 pm, the Oak Bay Police received a report of a disturbance in the 2000 block of Quimper St. Police attended and discovered that the residents were cleaning up the backyard. Police also discovered that one of the residents, a 43-year-old-female, had an unendorsed warrant from the Victoria Police Department for Assault with a Weapon, Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. The female was arrested and transported to the Victoria Police Department and turned over to the Victoria Police. (OB File 24-2064)
Break and Enter
On August 6, 2024, the Oak Bay Police responded to a report of a Break and Enter on Lulie St. Sometime during the early evening the suspect had entered the residence through an unlocked basement window and knocked over a shredding bin. The owner advised that nothing had been stolen. Currently there are no suspects in this investigation. (OB File 24-2082)
Break and Enter
On August 8, 2024, the Oak Bay Police received a report of a break and enter to a business in the 2000 block of Oak Bay Ave. The suspects entered through a window at 12:23 am and stole $20.00 in cash. The Saanich Police Departments Forensic Identification Section attended and processed the scene. The matter is still under investigation. (OB24-2098)
