On Monday, August 23rd, the Oak Bay Police received a report of an overnight theft from an unlocked motor vehicle in the 100 block of Maquinna Street.

On Monday, August 23rd, the Oak Bay Police conducted a roadblock at Cadboro Road and Eastdowne Road. A patrol member stopped a 29-year-old male driver. The driver admitted to consuming liquor and an approved screening device (ASD) was administered. The driver was issued a 24-hour prohibition notice and his driver’s licence was seized. The vehicle was impounded.

On Monday, August 23rd, the Oak Bay Police conducted a roadblock at Cadboro Bay Road and Eastdowne Road. A 23-year-old male driver showed signs of having consumed liquor. An ASD was administered and, as the driver had a previous 3-day driving prohibition, in this case he was given a 7-day immediate driving prohibition. The driver was also given a violation ticket for driving contrary to restrictions (not to consume alcohol). The prescribed for the violation ticket is $109.00. The vehicle was towed from scene.

On Tuesday, August 24th, the Oak Bay Police conducted a road check in the 1300 block of Beach Drive. A 57 year old male driver admitted to consuming two drinks. An ASD was administered and the driver was issued a 24-hour prohibition notice and his vehicle was impounded for 24 hours.

On Tuesday, August 17th, the Oak Bay Police conducted a roadblock in the 1300 block of Beach Drive. A white 57-year-old female driver admitted to consuming one drink at dinner. An ASD was administered and she was issued a 3-day immediate driving prohibition, her driver’s licence was seized, and the vehicle was impounded for 3 days.

On Wednesday, August 25th, the Oak Bay Police received an overnight theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 2000 block of Oak Bay Avenue.
