January 25th, 2021: Report of mischief to a decorative wood lantern on Beach Drive. The lantern was smashed in the driveway. It is believed that his occurred in the early morning of January 26th at which time the complainant heard some noise outside. No CCTV was available to help identify the suspect (OBPD file 2021-210).
January 25th, 2021: A complainant reported mischief to a vehicle parked in the 900 block of Byng St. The vehicle was found with a dent on the driver side door and covered in mud. The complainant was notified by a neighbour who was woken by a loud banging noise between 01:00 and 02:00 hrs. The neighbour looked out the window and saw a male described as: tall, bushy hair, white socks and a red jacket. The male was hitting and shaking a book exchange box. The neighbour knocked on the window and the male quickly left on foot (OBPD file 2021-211). At the same time, OBPD responded to a report of a male screaming in the area. Police circulated but were unable to locate anyone requiring assistance (OBPD file 2021-207).
January 25th, 2021: A complainant called police to report finding what appeared to be blood on a vehicle. The vehicle was parked overnight on the road in the 2400 block of Hazel St. An OBPD member attended and observed some dried blood droplets on the front driver side of the vehicle. No suspect was identified (OBPD file 2021-213).
January 26th, 2021: Stolen 25 lb propane tank from a ground level patio at an apartment building on Clive Dr. No CCTV was available to help identify a suspect (OBPD file 2021-218).
January 26, 2021: Another propane tank was stolen from under the BBQ used by the residents at an apartment building on Newport Ave. No CCTV available and there were no witnesses (OBPD file 2021-219).
January 28th, 2021: Delayed report of a shoplifter from January 27th, 2021. A male walked into the Pharmasave just after 4:00 pm and stole a variety of personal hygiene products worth $515. CCTV captured the suspect male who can be described as: dark brown hair, wearing a light blue medical mask, black Under Armour toque, blue nylon jacket, dark pants, black Nike running shoes with white soles and carrying a green recyclable shopping bag. The suspect was not identified (OBPD file 2021-232).
