On Tuesday, January 4th a patrol member noted an expired decal on a vehicle in the 200 block of King George Terrace. The vehicle was followed to the homeowner’s residence. Police records confirmed the decal was expired and the patrol member issued a violation ticket for no insurance to the registered owner. The fine for no insurance is $598.00.

OB File #2022-75
On Saturday, January 8th, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report that someone had entered an unlocked motor vehicle in the 100 block of King George Terrace. The vehicle was parked on the street and nothing was stolen.

OB File #2022-80
On Saturday, January 8th, the Oak Bay Police Department received a mischief complaint in the 1600 block of Hampshire Road. The homeowner heard a loud bang at 2:00 am from her front entrance. The homeowner at the time did not observe any damage, however in the morning the homeowner observed the door frame was splintered causing approximately $500.00 in damage. A dirt mark was observed on the lower portion of the front door which appears to have been done by someone kicking the door.
