On July 31, 2022, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report of theft from Auto in the 2000 block of Mowat St. The complainant reported that they left their vehicle unlocked overnight. A number of items including a backpack, shoes and a small amount of money was taken. There are no suspects or witnesses in this file. (OB 2022-2343)

On August 2, 2022, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report of a theft of construction equipment from the 1900 block of Hampshire Rd. The complainant reported that when they arrived at the job-site they noticed that a hydraulic hammer was gone. The piece of equipment weighs over 300kgs and is valued at $9000.00 There are no suspects in this file at this time. This investigation is on going. (OB 2022-2366)
