On January 26th police received five reports of vehicles entered by having their windows smashed. Various items were stolen from each vehicle. The thefts occurred on Musgrave Street, Topp Ave and Burdick Ave. Police remind all residents that nothing of value should be left inside a parked vehicle. Doing so is an invite for bad guys to break in and steal your stuff.
On January 28th police responded to a report of theft of licence plates from the personal vehicle of a Neil St. resident. The licence plates on their vehicle had been switched with a different set. The licence plates that were left attached to the complainant’s car had been reported stolen out of West Shore.
On January 31st at approx. 7:00 am a car was northbound on Foul Bay Rd near the intersection at Neil St. when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, drove over the curb, ran over a street sign, and broke off a fire hydrant. The vehicle left the scene of the accident. The licence plate from the vehicle was left behind at the scene. Police continue to investigate.
