OB File #2021-1813
On Monday, June 21st, the Oak Bay Police Department received an overnight report of a theft from motor vehicle in the 2100 block of Guernsey Street. The owner’s vehicle a 2012 Mazda 2 appeared to be unlocked, the culprit stole a Coach purse and a wallet. The suspect used a credit card at a downtown convenience store. The investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect.

On Monday, June 21st the Oak Bay Police Department received a theft report of a stolen generator that was taken from a truck in the 2100 block of Armstrong Avenue. The generator is described as:

– Honda EM2500 CC (approximate value: $3000.00)

OB File #2021-1840
On Tuesday June 22nd, the Oak Bay Police Department received a theft report from a commercial business in the 2200 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The suspect entered the store and stole two electric toothbrushes. The investigator was able to obtain a photo of the suspect from the CCTV camera. The investigation is ongoing to identify the suspect.

On Thursday, June 24th, the Oak Bay Police Department received a report of a stolen boat trailer licence plate (UGA53H) that occurred in the 2000 block of Byron Street. The licence plate was added to the police database as stolen.

OB File #2021-1899
On Sunday, June 27th, the Oak Bay Police Department responded to a hit & run in the 1900 block of Granite Street. The unoccupied 2017 Honda Fit was parked facing east on Granite Street and the owner noted damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and the mirror was hanging from its wires. There was white paint transfer from the suspect vehicle that was visible on the owner’s vehicle.

OB File #2021-1902
On Sunday, June 27th, the Oak Bay Police Department responded to an intoxicated male in the 2100 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The 48 year old male was heavily intoxicated and was swaying from side to side while standing. The investigator noted several beer cans and vodka where the male stood up from the bench. The male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place, he was transported and lodged into the Saanich Police cells.
