On March 17th the Oak Bay Police received a report of a mischief in progress in the 2000 blk of Runnymede Place. The homeowner’s passage door with a glass insert was smashed by a small rock. A second incident occurred moments later across the street on Foul Bay Road in the jurisdiction of Victoria. Both police agencies conducted extensive patrols in the area and were unable to locate the suspects.

On March 18th the Oak Bay Police responded to a complaint of drunk male stumbling in the 2100 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The male pulled out a can of beer from his coat and started drinking from it in the presence of a police officer. The male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and issued a violation ticket for consuming liquor in a public place.

On March 19th, the Oak Bay Police received a complaint of a theft from a business in the 2200 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The suspect stole two travel backpacks with an approximate value of $200.00. The suspect was seen on the surveillance cameras and the investigation is ongoing to obtain his identity.
The Oak Bay Police received 9 theft from auto reports over the past week. The vehicles were unlocked with exception of one vehicle which had its rear window smashed. The following items were stolen from these incidents:
- A new Acer Laptop (approximate value: $700.00) and black LG cellphone
- A skateboard with a blue bottom with skate stickers in a geometric pattern
- Assorted change from several of the vehicles
- Debit card and a credit card
- 2 pairs of women’s sunglasses (approximate value: $300.00)
One pair were a light grey Aviator style and the other pair was a black Ryan sunglasses.
In two of these occurrences the suspects fraudulently used a debit card and credit cards at several downtown businesses. They were caught on surveillance cameras. A suspect has been identified in one of the incidents and the investigator is attempting to identify the other suspect.

The theft from auto incidents occurred in the following locations:
- 2100 block Cadboro Bay Road
- 2100 block Fair Street X2
- 2100 block Haultain Street
- 2100 block Kings Road
- 2100 block Carrick Street
- 3000 block Larkdowne Road
- 2300 block Lansdowne Road
- 2300 block Mid- Downe Road
