On March 20th, police were called to a house under construction in central Oak Bay. Sometime overnight, thieves broke in to the house and stole a quantity of Makita brand tools.
On March 22nd, police were called by employees of an Oak Bay bank to intercept a male who had tried to set up an account using fake identification and pay stubs. Officers attended and arrested the male, who is suspected of using the same scam on a number of Greater Victoria banks. The matter is now before the courts.
On March 23rd, police received a report of credit card fraud. The complainant reported that over $5000 had been charged to her credit card, which she still had in her possession. The matter is still under investigation.
On March 24th, police were called to a residence in central Oak Bay for a report a break and enter. The culprit entered the house and rummaged through bedroom desk drawers, but did not appear to take anything. Police Identification Services attended and examined the scene.
On March 25th, police were called to Queens Park for a report of Mischief Under $5000. The complainant observed three males drinking on the wooden swing. At some point the males broke the swing before leaving on foot. Patrols of the area were negative. Oak Bay Parks was advised.
