Monday, March 30th: An insecure vehicle parked in the 2500 Estevan Ave was entered and an equipment bag containing men’s figure skates were removed. There are no suspects or witnesses

A vehicle parked in the 3500 block of Cardiff Place was vandalized. The rear driver’s side window was smashed out but nothing was removed. There are no suspects or witnesses

Tuesday, March 31stA break and enter occurred in the 1100 block of Goodwin Street. The suspect gained entry to a utility room but didn’t remove anything. There are no suspects or witnesses

Wednesday, April 1st: An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 1200 block of Hampshire Street. The contents of the vehicle were rifled through and several items of value were removed. There are no suspects or witnesses.

Thursday, April 2nd: Oak Bay Police are investigating a theft of a sculpture from The Avenue Gallery in the 2100 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The sculpture is described as a stainless steel and figured maple owl, valued at over $3500.00.   The matter is still under investigation. Photo of sculpture is below:

Saturday, April, 4th:  A theft of a cell phone and wallet occurred at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. The items were removed from an unlocked locker. There are no suspects.

Sunday, April 5th:  A number of roadside suspensions were issued on this date. A vehicle was observed speeding in the 1700 block of Beach Dr. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to have consumed liquor in excess of the legal limit and was subsequently served with a 24 hour roadside suspension.

Later on the same date, in the 3400 block of Cadboro Bay Rd, a vehicle tried to avoid the police check stop and pulled into a nearby driveway. The investigation revealed the driver had consumed liquor and was served a 24 hour roadside prohibition and had his vehicle towed. Also during this road block another vehicle was stopped and the driver admitted to consuming a couple of beer. The driver provided two samples of this breath and the results lead to him receiving a three day Immediate Roadside Prohibition.
