On the 06 June, there were 11 calls for service and were routine in nature.
On the 07 June, there were 11 calls for service, most were routine in nature, however, a residence was broken into and property stolen. The home was located in the Beach Dr / King George Terrace area.
On the 08 June, there were 17 calls for service. Nothing of consequence to report, other than an unconfirmed report of a cougar sighting in the area of the Henderson Rec Center golf course.
On the 09 June, there were 19 calls for service. Most of the calls were related to assisting members of the public with minor issues and one complaint of theft. A locked mountain bike and helmet was stolen from area around the OB Rec Center, after the bicycles lock was cut off, there are no suspects.
On the 10 June, there were 21 calls for service. There were a number of noisy party, parking and bylaw complaints, as well as, one theft complaint. The complainant in this matter had his wallet stolen while working on a house renovation on Beach Dr, and there are no suspects.
On the 11 June, there were 12 calls for service. Of those 12 calls, 2 calls were related to unknown person(s) damaging vehicles by knocking off the cars mirrors in the Estevan and Musgrave areas of Oak Bay. Three other calls in the same area were related noisy parties. The remainder of the calls were routine in nature.
On the 12 June, there were 09 calls for service, including one break and enter, which had occurred in the 800 block of Transit Rd, to an abandoned house. Nothing appeared to have been taken. A theft from vehicle was also reported in the 900 block of Foul Bay Rd. Several items were taken from the unlocked vehicle, including a family heirloom (watch). There are no suspects in either the theft, or break and enter. The remainder of the calls were routine in nature.
Oak Bay residence are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove all valuables, even when leaving the vehicle for short periods of time. Police also encourage residences to lock their doors when going out.
