Weekly Media Release October 19-25, 2015

October 20  – During the night unlocked vehicles in the Sandowne Rd, Oakdowne Rd and Allenby St  area were entered with various items being reported missing.

October 21 – During the night an unlocked vehicle in the Lansdowne Rd area was entered. Nothing reported stolen.

October 22 – In the early morning hours, Oak Bay Police member on foot patrol in the Carnarvon Park area located two loud males. One male was arrested for breaching two court ordered conditions, namely his curfew and being in possession of a knife. The male was held for court that same day.

October 24 – At 10:55 am, a report of a 12 foot aluminum style Zodiac boat with a 15 hp motor was stolen sometime in the last week from the 3100 block of Beach Dr from a private dock. Police are requesting further info in this matter and it can be reported to the Oak Bay Police or Crime Stoppers.

October 25th – In the early morning hours, several unlocked vehicle were entered and unknown items stolen in the Allenby St / Neil St area. Police are again reminding the public to ensure their vehicles are locked and to remove any items of value, which includes cell phone charging cords.

Also in the early morning hours a garage in the 2900 Henderson Rd block was broken into and items of value were stolen. Saanich Ident has processed the scene. Police are requesting further info in this matter and it can be reported to the Oak Bay Police or Crime Stoppers.

A complainant reported his 15 hp outboard motor had stolen sometime in the last two weeks from his boat that is moored at the Royal Victoria Yacht Club.  Police are requesting further info in this matter and it can be reported to the Oak Bay Police or Crime Stoppers.
