Media Release for July 27th to August 2nd, 2020

On July 27th the Oak Bay Police received a report of two stolen bicycles in the 900 block of Hampshire Rd.  The bicycles were removed from a garage possibly left unlocked.  Stolen bikes included a Bronze Ladies Norco 16” bike with basket, value $300.00 and a Black Men’s Brodie Omega, value $730.00.  (OB File 20-2297). On July 16th, at approximately 4:00 am the Oak Bay Police Department responded to a commercial glass break in the 2000 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The suspect smashed a side window, entered the store and stole a 29” Specialized Levo electric bicycle (value: $3700.00) from the front display window. On June 25, 2020, an Oak Bay Police member was conducting traffic enforcement in the 400 block of Beach Drive when they observed a vehicle speeding.
