This morning at approximately 6:45 am, the Oak Bay Police received three credible reports of a cougar being sighted in the area of Musgrave St and Dewdney St. Police searched the area thoroughly with no success. The Oak Bay Parks department has placed advisory signs around Uplands Park as it is suspected that the cat may have gone into the park.
BC Conservation Officers have been advised. The public is advised to be cautious and vigilant.
