Oak Bay Police Responded to two thefts from vehicles this week:
- On December 30th 2019, a resident in the 2000 block of Foul Bay Road advised Police that their vehicle had been entered sometime overnight and some personal electronics items stolen. The investigation is still ongoing. (19-4966)
- On January 1st 2020, a resident in the 2900 block of Henderson Road advised Police that their vehicle had been entered sometime overnight. Nothing was taken but the contents had been rifled through. (20-04) Police have not identified any suspects at this time and urge residents to keep vehicles locked and valuables out of sight.
On January 4th 2020, a resident called Police to advise that their Suzuki outboard motor had been stolen from a dingy sometime overnight in the 1300 block of Beach drive. This investigation is continuing. (20-50)
On January 4th 2020, a resident in the 2600 block of Currie Street called Police to advise that their Red 15ft Zephyr Kayak was stolen sometime overnight. This investigation is continuing. (20- 51)
On January 4th 2020, Police were called to a business in the 2000 block of Cadboro Bay Rd for a report of a suspicious person. Police later located this male walking away from the area and, after observing him commit a Motor Vehicle Act offence, he was identified and found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
