On February 6th, in South Oak Bay the homeowner drove into their driveway and noted unknown male seated in another car they owned. The homeowner parked their car at which point the unknown male exited the second vehicle and fled the area. The male stole the following items from their vehicle: curling gear which included a jacket and the homeowner’s name stitched on it, pants, shoes, sheepskin gloves and a curling roster book. Total approximate loss: $300-$400.
On February 9th, a residential B&E occurred in North Oak Bay. The culprit entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a laptop, sunglasses, a rice cooker and several pairs of jeans. The garage door opener which was attached to the vehicle’s visor was activated and the culprit gained access into the garage and stole additional two bicycles.
On February 11th, another residential B&E occurred in central Oak Bay. The culprit cut the window screen and gained access through the front porch window. Once inside the suspect stole cash, knives and a few electronic devices. The Saanich Police Department Forensic Identification Services attended to assist in the investigation.
All of these investigations are ongoing.
