On February 2, police were called to south Oak Bay to assist the Oak Bay Fire Department with traffic control for a house fire. No injuries were reported and a family pet was rescued. The house sustained significant damage.
On February 4, police were called to a noise complaint in central Oak Bay. On arrival, the investigating officer located a vehicle with music playing from the stereo. Further investigation determined the driver had consumed liquor, confirmed by an Approved Screening Device. The driver was issued a 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and the vehicle was impounded.
