EXCESSIVE SPEEDING
On December 29th, at 6:55pm, a traffic stop was conducted with a vehicle on Beach Dr near Newport Ave after being caught travelling 42km/hr over the speed limit. The 22-year-old male driver was issued a motor vehicle act ticket for excessive speed with a fine amount of $368.00. The vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days. (OBPD file 2023-3896)
IMMEDIATE ROADSIDE PROHIBITION
On December 29th, during a roadblock at Foul Bay Rd and Haultain St, a 59-year-old male driver was issued a three-day driving prohibition after blowing a “warn” into an approved screening device. His vehicle was also impounded. (OBPD file 2023-3897)
24 HR DRIVING SUSPENSION
On December 29th, during a roadblock at Foul Bay Rd and Haultain St, a 71-yr-old driver was given a 24-hr driving suspension after blowing into an approved screening device. As a result of this his vehicle was also towed. (OBPD file 2023-3898)
