THEFT OF BIKE

On January 13, 2026, at approximately 8:45 p.m., police received a report of a stolen e-bike from the 1400 block of Monterey Avenue. The owner had parked a white Volt e-bike, equipped with a child seat and a grey helmet, at the bike rack around 9:30 a.m. and discovered it missing at approximately 8:30 p.m. The e-bike is valued at approximately $1,500. This investigation is ongoing and officers are canvassing for CCTV in the area. (File 2026-140)

BREAK AND ENTER – RESIDENTIAL

On January 15, 2026, police were called to a residence in the 3400 block of Midland Road for a reported break and enter. The home was unoccupied between late morning and early afternoon when unknown suspect(s) gained entry through an upper-floor window. Several upstairs rooms were disturbed, and jewellery is believed to have been targeted, while other valuables in the home were left untouched. Forensic Identification Services attended to capture evidence of the scene, and investigators are following up on information regarding individuals who may have had recent access to the property.
