The Oak Bay Police Department responded to 73 calls for service during the week.
Graffiti Incident
On June 13, 2025, between 12:20 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., an act of vandalism occurred at a residence in the 2000-block of Milton Street. An unknown individual spray-painted red graffiti on a wooden gate, including two pentagram-like symbols and several instances of the number “666.” The graffiti was removed by a resident prior to police arrival. At this time, there is no indication that the graffiti was motivated by hate or political intent. No suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing. (File 25-1549)
Suspicious Person – Door-to-Door Activity
On June 13, 2025, officers responded to a report of two males offering window cleaning services in a suspicious manner in the 2600 block of Dunlevy Street. The complainant noted that the individuals were aggressive in their sales approach and refused to provide identification or business credentials. They also lacked any equipment typically associated with window cleaning. Officers attended the area but were unable to locate the individuals. (File 25-1552)
