Hit and Run – Property Damage
On March 8, 2026, Oak Bay Police responded to a report of a hit and run involving property damage that is believed to have occurred overnight at the intersection of Townley Street and Henderson Road. Officers located a damaged fire hydrant and stop sign, with tire marks in the grass and white paint transfer observed on both fixtures. Damage to the fire hydrant is estimated to exceed $5,000. A nearby resident reported hearing a loud bang late in the evening on March 7, 2026. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white vehicle with possible front or rear damage. Theft
On March 7, 2026, Oak Bay Police investigated a reported theft from a liquor store in the 2100 block of Oak Bay Avenue after staff identified a male suspected of stealing premium liquor. Police reviewed a still image provided by the business and determined the suspect is believed to be the same individual involved in a similar theft at the same location in February. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with a moustache and goatee, wearing all black clothing and white shoes.
