The Oak Bay Police Department responded to 65 calls for service this week.

Mischief

On November 18, 2024, the Oak Bay Police received a report of damage to two Oak Bay Municipal vehicles parked near Carnarvon Park over the weekend. The fuel lines, wiring, and fuses were cut and damaged by an unknown person, resulting in an estimated $4000 in damages. (OB File 24-3244)

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

On November 18, 2024, the Oak Bay Police responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 2100 block of Cadboro Bay Rd. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Saanich. The ignition had been punched out and was missing. The Saanich Police Forensic Identification Section processed the vehicle for evidence, and it was turned over to Saanich Police for further investigation. (OB File 24-3247)
