Motor Vehicle Collision / Fail to Remain
On September 22, 2025, at approximately 2:11 a.m., officers responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 2100 block of Windsor Road. A pickup truck had struck a tree, and no driver was present at the scene. The following morning, a suspected driver was located asleep near Willows Beach with no recollection of the incident. The individual was transported to hospital for assessment. Violation tickets were issued for failing to remain at the scene. (File 25-2676)
Suspicious Circumstance
On September 23, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of suspected drug use in the universal change room at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre. A strong chemical odor was noted. Police assisted staff in removing the individuals who departed without incident. Police foot patrols have been increased in the facility during evening hours. Shoplifting / Outstanding Warrants On September 26, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 2200 block of Oak Bay Avenue. The suspect was located and stolen items recovered. The suspect, a 40-year-old female, was arrested on outstanding endorsed warrants out of Saanich and released with a future court date. Traffic Enforcement / No Insurance
On September 27, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers conducting traffic enforcement on Henderson Road observed a vehicle travelling 21 km/h over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop revealed the vehicle was uninsured. Violation tickets were issued for speeding, no insurance, and failing to display an “N” decal. The vehicle was impounded. (File 25-2730)
