Oak Bay Police responded to 79 calls for service.

On January 26th, Oak Bay Police attended to a report of an industrial accident at the Oak Bay High School construction site. A worker fell from a ladder at approximately 25 feet hitting his head. The worker was transported to hospital with fractures and is listed in stable condition. Work Safe BC will continue the investigation.

On January 29th Oak Bay Police, fire and ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident on Runnymede Place. The lone occupant suffered a medical emergency which caused the crash. The patient was transported rapidly to Victoria General Hospital were the patient later died as result of the medical issues. The family were notified immediately.

On January 29th Oak Bay Police responded to a report of a Break and Enter of a storage building on a property on Newport Avenue. Nothing of value was taken.  The door handle had been forced open.   Police are reminding the public to report any suspicious persons or behaviour to police.

On January 31st, Oak Bay Police conducted two separate impaired driving roadblocks, and as a result  two drivers have received 3-day Immediate Roadside Prohibitions as a result of their ability to drive being effected by alcohol..
