Weekly Media Release July 18-24, 2016

On July 17th during the overnight hours an unknown person/s entered an apartment building in the 2000 block of Oak Bay Ave. where they allegedly stole a band saw. An older white single-cab pickup with a black roof and noisy exhaust was observed in the area. The theft was not confirmed but the Police Department would like to speak to the owner of the pickup. File 16-2541 refers.

On July 18th during the overnight hours an unknown person/s entered an unlocked garage in south east Oak Bay where they entered an unlocked car. The glove box was rummaged through and a camera bag was taken from the rear seat. Please remember to lock garage and your vehicles.

On July 20th during the overnight hours entry was gained into a secure vehicle parked in north east Oak Bay. It appears that the door lock was forced. Numerous tools and a gift card were taken. Please remember to remove valuables or hide them from view if your car is unattended, even when the doors are locked.
