On July 28th at approx. 4:00 pm police stopped a vehicle on Monterey Ave, when the driver was observed to not be wearing his seatbelt. Police then discovered that the driver was prohibited from driving for 5 months starting July 10, 2014. The driver was charged with prohibited driving and his vehicle was impounded.

On August 1st at approximately 7:00 am police attended to a report of a break, enter, and theft at a clothing consignment business in the Estevan Village shops. A large rock had been thrown through the glass front door overnight on Thursday thereby allowing access into the business. A small amount of petty cash was stolen. Saanich Police Identification Section attended and conducted an examination of the scene. A nearby resident reported hearing a loud crash at 4:55 am but did not report it at the time. The investigation is ongoing.
