On June 15th in the 2500 Block of Epworth Street, a home was entered by breaking the back window. It is still under investigation at this point.
On June 16th, police received a report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the street at Beach Drive and Cadboro Bay Road. A purse and a cell phone were stolen from the vehicle. No suspects at this time.
On June 17th, a homeowner reported that an open garage was entered overnight and a set of golf clubs was taken from an unlocked vehicle, located in the 3000 block of Uplands Road. Nothing has been found that would lead police to any suspects at this point.
On June 19th, police received two reports of unlocked vehicles entered in the 2400 Block of Dryfe Street. A number of valuables were stolen from both vehicles.
On June 20th, a report of a break and enter was received when it was noticed that suspects had forced open a basement window in the 900 block of Newport Avenue, however nothing appears to have been stolen.
Due to the recent number of thefts from vehicles in the area, Police would again like to remind Oak Bay residents to lock their vehicles and remove all valuable items.
