On September 17^th, Oak Bay Police were called to south Oak Bay for a report of a confused male. On arrival, police met with a young male who had ingested an unknown substance which seemed responsible for his mental state. He was transported to hospital for examination.

On September 17^th, police were called to an apartment in central Oak Bay for a report of break and enter. Person(s) unknown had entered the apartment and taken a guitar and vacuum cleaner. These items were later recovered by the Saanich Police Department.

On September 19^th, shortly after 1:00 AM, Oak Bay Police checked a vehicle parked at the side of the road in north Oak Bay. The owner of the vehicle had just finished smoking marihuana. Police seized a small quantity of cannabis and the owner took a cab home. No charges are anticipated.

On September 19^th, police received a report of theft from motor vehicle that occurred sometime overnight in central Oak Bay. The culprit(s) took a wallet and iPad from the vehicle.

On September 22^nd, police received a report of theft under from a local marina. Person(s) unknown had stolen a dinghy sometime between September 17^th and 21^st, 2017. The matter is still under investigation.

On September 24^th, police responded to south Oak Bay for a report of mischief. Sometime over the weekend, person(s) unknown sprayed graffiti at several locations including two garage doors.

On September 24^th, several members of the Oak Bay Police Department attended the Police Memorial service downtown. The event commemorates police officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
