Overnight August 7-8 five vehicles were reported to have been entered in the Hampshire Rd / St Ann St / Bowker Ave / Cavendish St area. Weekly Media Release

On July 25th, a male wearing a mask entered a bank in the 2000 block of Cadboro Bay Road. He was advised by staff to leave, which he did. Missing Person Located

On July 23rd, family reported 55 year old Wayne GERBER missing. On July 28th, Mr. GERBER attended the Oak Bay Police office after learning of the report. Oak Bay Police wish to thank the various media organizations and members of the public that fanned out the missing person report.

CACP Warns the Public of “Scareware” Scam

The Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) has learned that it’s name is being used in a computer scam. Individuals report a frozen computer, or they have been locked-out of their computers, after receiving pop-up messages warning that the computer has been associated with pornography. The Oak Bay Police Department is requesting the help of the public in locating 55-year-old Wayne Gerber. Mr. Gerber makes it his habit to contact his family members on a regular basis. Weekly Media Release July 15-21, 2013

Since July 15th, 2013, Oak Bay Police have had 113 calls for service. On July 15th at 1:38 A.M., police responded to a three vehicle collision in the 2300 block of Beach Drive. A northbound 2005 Mercedes collided with a parked 2014 Subaru, pushing that into a second parked vehicle, a 1995 Toyota Tercel. The Continue Reading

Oak Bay Fraudster Pleads Guilty

In the early days of April, 2012, a male attended at a residence located on Eastdowne Road, In Oak Bay, and, offered to do driveway sealing for an elderly home owner.
