Over this past week, Oak Bay Police Members (OBPD) responded to 79 calls for service. The missing 14 year old teenager from Ucluelet, Zoey Pretorius, was located safely today near Richmond School after contacting a local family member. Zoey has since been reunited with her mother. Police thank the public for their assistance in locating this youth.
September 30, 2013 On Saturday, September 28th, Oak Bay Police attended the 900 block of Foul Bay when a tree came down on some power lines. On September 3rd, 2013, the Oak Bay Police Department will launch a new, innovative program to encourage cyclists who don’t wear bike helmets because they don’t own one, to buy one in lieu of receiving a violation ticket for riding without a helmet.
